I agree . In the model A I have always changed oils and greased at 500 miles
I tend to do this in the 34 as well although I do it when it is convenient so probably works out about 750 miles. On a long tour I push it out a bit to avoid changing it during the tour . Both have no filters and a lot of my running is short runs round town and to work. Oil and grease is cheap and much cheaper than engine work! Karl
