Model A camper
This was in Hemmings. Thought it looked neat and it's for sale.

Re: Model A camper
Nice woodworking and use of cedar on the interior. I can see how this would be a warm weather use camper. I also bet the weight would be no problem for a Model A to pull.
Thanks for the link. An interesting article. |

Re: Model A camper
Neat little double barrel in one photo, I wonder ifn it's functional or just a prop.

Re: Model A camper
I recently saw a pic of a MODERN, SMALL, "AIRSTREAM" Trailer, that would be PERFECT for a Model A!---Look it up!

Re: Model A camper
I think the double barrel is a lighter for the stove.
Beautiful trailer. Jeff

Re: Model A camper
Did I miss something, or is the only thing 'Model A'-ish about it the wheels? Seems like they could have mounted a spare wheel/tire on the side/back for a bit more of a 'look'...

Re: Model A camper
Delightful and not too dissimilar to the construction of a station wagon. A work of art!

Re: Model A camper
My wife and I have done tens of thousands of miles pulling a camper trailer around Australia. My concern about this one is two fold. Wind drag and cross winds. Here's our rig and a stretch of road:

Re: Model A camper
Katy, there is a match box with striker case next to the double barrel prop (below the lamp). I think the shotgun is for looks. The shotgun can't be more than 15 inches long, if the match box is the larger household size.

Re: Model A camper
Here's my A camper.
No need for a spare tire, as I carry a spare on the car.

Re: Model A camper
Keith, in #18 I like the first camper, but it's too tongue heavy.
The last picture looks like it came from "The Day the Earth Stood Still" |
