Re: Identify this car?
Got a better shot of the center cap on the wheel? I blew it up and it looks like a stylized H but none of the 20-30s H cars have the horizontal hood louvers.

Re: Identify this car?
While we await a definitive answer... the horizontal louvers look really out of place, Don't make sense from either a "style" or functional perspective!

I don't know what she is but I love the originality and would be proud to have her parked in my driveway, unrestored!

Re: Identify this car?
So I posted the picture from the first post on another forum and it was pretty quickly identified as a 1928 Wolverine (REO offshoot). A very rare model indeed - I was only able to find two other pictures online showing main body differences between the Wolverine and other models (Visor and shape of the beltline on the rear quarter panel). One of the pictures found was denoted as a 1929 which could be debatable.

Re: Identify this car?
This mystery car is a 1928 Wolverine. They were only built in 1927 and 1928. REO made them as a companion car. |

Re: Identify this car?
Interesting ... REO and Wolverine. Both made in Lansing Michigan, I suppose.
For those that might not know, the Wolverine is the U of Michigan mascot, even though there hasn't been a wolverine around these parts in about a 100 years. Joe B |

Re: Identify this car?
I found a picture of a 28 Wolverine. See picture below. It sure looks like the picture in the initial post - even the 4 lugs on the wheel rims.

Rusty, look again at the original picture in Post #1 and the picture you posted above and you will see the 2 main body differences between the Post #1 subject and what most of the Wolverines were like (Visor and rear quarter panel beltline). |

Re: Identify this car?
Randy,
You are correct. I missed that. I guess we still don't know what the car is. Rusty |

Re: Identify this car?
Found this picture of a '28 Reo Wolverine. Check out the visor, rear quarter panel beltline and running board "embossing".
