Mark, Folks,
Sorry about going off topic here!
John and I have had a little side hunt for this emblem. He is correct, the car is a 1965 Comet Caliente, and it is missing the emblem in post 2127. Yes that goes in the lid of the center console of the bucket seat option.
No I don't own the car. That is up to the car gods! Would make a nice gift under the tree for Cheryl!

The Comet emblem seems to be like finding a 32 commercial radiator cap!
Thanks John for doing work looking for one of these also. John has already bought me a 1965 PA licence plate for the Caliente if we were to own it at some point. It would be a vintage plate. Already checked with the Notary and the plate is good to go, not used at this time in Pennsylvania.

Back on topic: I did drive the 32 to the polls and vote today! It did a fine job! Very comfortable cruising to town and back in the ragged ol' truck. It did get some looks!
Regards,
Chris and Cheryl

Mark,
Would one of these fit under the tree next month?? Maybe just a bow on it? The owner said he may keep it till next spring. And his wife really likes this car.
The 32 could have a playmate, maybe?

Regards,
Chris and Cheryl

Well folks,
Most of the toys are put away even the Ford Edge is in the warm shop. Only the Ford F250 sets outside and it too could be in the living room of the shop. Soooo nice that most of the tractors and equipment are under cover in the new mini shop!
The 32 will get a few more miles on it if the weather gets to be nice again during the winter months. Maybe will get it out and take some pictures in the snow if we have any.
I spent some time visiting with John Kelley today as he is noodling out problems with his headlights on his 42 Ford. Started his 48 Ford and his 1955 Ford to do some electrical comparisons too. All nice cars!
Then the sharp Model A is sitting there in his garage also. A great car collection him and Cathy have, along with some nice tractors too!
We think the dimmer switch may have issues on his 42 Business Coupe (Cindy).
Hope things are good in Ford Land.

Got our Ballots for the V8 club today.
Also received our AACA magazine today which is a very nice magazine auto also.

Regards,
Chris and Cheryl

Mark,
Is that a 64? My friend Dave had a 65 four door Comet. They were similar to the falcons with several improvements. That is a nice one your friend has!
Sent my registration today for the Early V8 Auburn meet next June. The plan would be to drag the ragged ol truck to the National event. When are we going to meet at one of these events??
Regards,
Chris and Cheryl

Mark,
Congratulations on your retirement? I will hold you to that! The Auburn meet in mid June 2024 would be a good place to get together and have a meal together! Just sent in our registration for Auburn, our third V8 club event. And if your coming from Maine your going to come right past our place. I am going to help John Kelley get his trailer ready so he can haul one of his cars to this National Early V8 event too.

My 32 truck ran well, as I took it down the road for a couple mile jaunt on Sunday. A lot of folks on here have helped me get this truck operational. One of the many things I am thankful for this season!

The weather has turned cold and damp! Most of the toys are tucked away.

Our grandson Nic harvested a 250 lb Pennsylvania black bear on Saturday. I helped him with it last night. He will be getting a full body mount on this awesome bear! A once in a lifetime hunt in the Allegheny National forest with friends and family.
Regards,
Chris and Cheryl

I'm still driving mine as long as the roads are dry. It's a different climate down here though.

Seth,
Thanks for the thorough windshield view of dry roads and warmer weather too!
Your car looks awesome. The dash looks very much like John's 42, 46, and or 48. I am not an expert on those Fords. But I sure have learned a lot, after helping John a little. They are growing on me!

This is what we are seeing as the results of the last "Lake effect" storm on Monday!

So we spent Tuesday, in the shop, watching our son Adam replace brakes on his car.
Electric "E" brakes, We learned some things on those. John, The internet, Mike our Grandson and me as the old man got them done and they work!
As a professional photographer, Adam spends most of his time near and around Denver Colorado. Nice to have him home for the holidays! He is also our IT guy so with his help I can now provide some pictures!

If you like wildlife pictures check out his web site:

www.ascwildlife.com

Looking forward to getting some of our older Ford cars on the lift as needed too.
I hope things are good in Ford land.

Regards,
Chris and Cheryl

Seth, looks like a 47 Deluxe by the brown on the dash? On my coupe they got the brown too light, but it still looks good. I think our old car driving season is done up here. You never know though. One year when we lived in Ashland I was out driving on Christmas day.

'47 Deluxe is correct. It's a nice daily driver car. Plus it has heat! So I haven't been driving my '37 daily much since we've had some cold weather. Rain is forcasted for today and Friday morning so I drove the Expedition to work. It's just not the same drive in a modern car.

You guys look like you're having fun in the shop. Stay warm.

Folks,
The temp in the big part of the shop with the lift, is about 66 deg F. Cool if setting around, about right if working a little.
I am fabricating some custom gas tank supports for the Allis-Chalmers fork lift. They have been laying around for a year or more!
Had a visit from friend Jim today, and we had to test the lift with his truck. We also visited John's collection of old Ford's!

Regards,
Chris and Cheryl

Hi Chris, would you have a good idea where the vacuum line routes from the manifold to the wiper motor/ Nothing on the one I'm working on, other than the wiper. No line at all. Thank you sir!
