the second picture is a 2.8 SBC with unknown blower. This is going on the dyno soon, hope to be there.

Ron:

What are your plans for the belts? Did this come off a late model Ford product? I know where an engine that has one of these is sitting rotting away. May give me motivation to go snag it.

Good luck.

Here is the blower and intake that came with my 60hp. I would need to make an adaptor plate for between the blower and intake. It would be cool looking, but I guess that I have my plate full with the two 81 carbs for now. Probably will try to sell it one of these days.

WE have no idea what or where the blower on the 2.8 chevy came fron, but the instolation is very professional.
I made my intake from a Fenton two duce intake. It's M-62 Eaton. from a Buicik.

Way cool! Just 3 or 4 lbs of boost can make a big jump in power.

"Way cool! Just 3 or 4 lbs of boost can make a big jump in power. "
When Flatdog's 3,000 pound '34 Ford seemed to level out at 14.00, he went to a 4-71. He barely paused in the 13 second bracket and got the car down into high 12's in just a few runs, bumping up the drive ratio on each run.
I remember at the old time drags at Englishtown there were 4 '34's, 3 with SBC all turning around 15.5 and Flatdog's...
I was priveleged to drive the thing on a 100 mile or so trip, and the power was simply awesome, with what seemed like an absolutely flat torque curve...it would just press you back in the seat hard anytime you touched the gas.

Yes, that's the same engine, looking forward to seeing it on the dyno. Got any ideas what kind of supercharger it is??
The belt system I'm using on the flathead is a stock Buick crank pulley modifies to fit the flathead crank. I had to move one ov the waterpump pulleys out to align with the other. There is a belt tightening pulley that allows 180 deg belt engagement. JWL made the blower pulley. 2:1 ratio.

When I was a front line Police Officer years ago I attended a complaint where someone had stolen a blower off a Terex/Euclid road scraper. We never found it but I could just about guarantee that would have ended up on a hot rod somewhere as no one else would of had a use for it.

I've never seen or heard of one from a Cummins (made by Schwitzer) ending up on a hot rod.

Well, Bruce. You have a nice 4-71 & intake. Now you just need to put it on a motor.

The Block and inards are all stock. What I;ve done is increase the compression some and install a blower. Now we can see if we canget a little economy with our performance. The M-62 is a rather inexpensive blower and good for 5lbs boost. These heads are experimental, just to check spark plug location the actual heads will be the 39-41 A heads.

The supercharger on the Chevy V6 is a 70's-80's era 110ci Magnuson. They did complete bolt on kits for Buick V6's, no reason there wouldn't be a kit available for the Chevy as well
