Looking for Schematic of 29 Roadster & Pic of Body in "White"

RATHER a BLUE PRINT of the complete car with measurements if someone has that

The wiring schematic would be the same for most all Model A's, just no dome light. Found almost in every publication. Sorry I don't have a photo of an all white roadster in my files, but my stomach growls when I picture one in my mind.

could you not copy this & print , then take it to copy shop & blow up as big as you need ,

Mark,

Before you blow it up, put a 1" "square box" on the paper/print. After it's to size,
you can check the "square box" for distortion..length and width. Make sense?

That and similiar drawings are featured in several Model A publications.
Going by memory I think you'll find it in Floyd Clymer's Model A Album, also the smaller blue cover Clymer book about restoring a Model A (pretty haywire book) also I think the diagram shows up again in a great book to own called Model A as Henry built it.

No I'm sorry but I don't have anything larger then that. To blow it up REAL large two things come to mind. Have a graphic artist convert it from a raster image to a vector image (a sign shop should be able to do it for you) or print it out and using a very large mega pixel camera, take a picture of it to reduce the distortation from blowing it up.

I converted the JPG to a PDF file, does that help?

If you have a good clean drawing of it it can be scanned and blown up with out a lot of problem. If you do find a digital file it will be a scan of a printed piece. I do this for a living and can help if you need it.

I have all those drawings and have modified them for shop use. While I do not remember specifically for the 40A, I do know that we found many of those dimensions not to be very accurate.

I guess if you wanna have some fun and make a few people "tense", you can print out what is there and measure Brookville's bodies this next week while they are on display at Hershey!

Actually NO there is not a 29 roadster body in white shot, ONLY the 30-31

I'm not sure what you are after (I don't see much value from an analytical standpoint) but there are SEVERAL versions of that drawing depending on changes. There are five versions at the archives for 1929 alone. The one posted here looks to be from late 1929 based on the shape of the top.

I was aware there were 3 different tops (irons & bows) used during 28-29, but is there actually 5 different tops -or something else?

I actually have no idea what differences they show. There appears to be three versions for 1927, two for 1928, and as mentioned five for 1929. The last one is almost certainly just the addition of the "R" suffix for the record.

During Judging....is this area past over..checked..or what? Do they all pass
if they are original?

Better yet, how would you figure out what you have or looking at when
your at swap meet?
