Started rebuilding my front shock links ''dog bones'' on my 35 coupe knocked the rivets out but the rubber replacement balls i got from mac's are too small. Go figure another replacement part that doesn't fit right & they say licensed by ''ford'' ha ha & made in taiwan---- anybody know who sells the correct size rubber balls---thanks

I would and have bought new dog bones. A lot of good vintage ford part dealers have them and they are not expensive.

Stretch that rubber! it is probably metric.

Too small on OD or ID? If ID, put them in some boiling water for a couple seconds and then put them on.

I was thinking the same. You don't want them loose or they will just tear.

I've done a number of these dog bone links for my '35's using the rubber balls supplied by Drake and Carpenter. Have had no issues with final fit up and assembly of bone halves. Just make sure the balls on the ends of the tapered/threaded studs are in good condition. Never used the rubber balls that MAC's supplies since I stopped doing business with them years ago.
