Well I finally got my '31 CCPU started this weekend for the first time since my great uncles passing 8 yrs ago. I can say at the young age of 22 I am now hooked. Even had to take it for a spin down the street with only one good brake. It was just to hard to not take a little spin. Would post a video but not sure how.

Nice have fun...
Make sure you check those trans and rear fluids before driving it, as well as the u-joint lubrication.. Running a component (engine, rear , trans ) with not enough lubrication is prob one of the worst abuses you can do to a car...
Don't assume anything.

Always make sure the Spark Advance lever on the left side is ALWAYS UP when starting the engine

You might get away with just cleaning moving parts and adjustments to get you around the neighborhood better.

The adjustment screws on them don't work its just spins. So I cant get them to adjust any.

Congrats on getting it started. I recently got my Tudor Sedan running after it sat for 40 years. I've been going through everything slowly as I have the time and a little extra money. Everyone here has been extremely helpful. Enjoy.

Keep her as Ford built them and only choke once when starting , none when warm.....

Ha! One working brake... That's not so bad... Sure beats none. The first day I got my model T running, I took it down the road. On the way back I came up on my driveway and made the corner actually on two wheels at about 30mph. Sitting on a five gallon pail, BAD steering gearbox, only transmission brake which didn't hardly work....etc etc. Its all part of the fun. Some people insist on wearing both a belt and suspenders, just in case. I'm getting more that way but when I was young, NO WAY. Life was always WAY too interesting to take it slow.

Sounds like someones gutted the brakes if adjusters dont do anything. I would pull the drums and see what you have first.

Also look up a club near you - guys love to stash away old parts that are worn but useable that may part with them for a cheap price.
