Second version 32 V8 engine supports.
I have a pair of second version 32 V8 engine supports for sale. Buyer wants to know if he can use the standard cushions and hardware. I think he is more concerned with function rather than show points. Appreciate the help.

Re: Second version 32 V8 engine supports.
There are two things that they should be aware of when using the early version such as in your photos. First, there is no wiggle room given that the holes for the insulator bolts aren't slotted like the later supports, which is critical if he has an early frame and early insulators where the head of the insulator bolts are up, not down like the later bolts and the insulators have ears that bolt to the front cross member. Everything must be in perfect alignment for the engine/transmission assembly to fit between the front and center cross members. The other consideration, which is relatively minor. is that the threaded portion of later '32 and up insulator bolts that install from the bottom isn't long enough because of the thickness of the supports where the bolts pass through. The '37 and up bolts used at the rear of the transmission likely are long enough to work or he could always grind down the top of the front of the supports where the bolts pass through to the reduced thickness of the later supports if his concern is function, not function plus appearance.
