FYI, The compression fitting is not only unsafe within the brake line, it's illegal.

There’s already two lines coming out of the block in front of the brake light switch.....I wonder what the line with the compression fitting is for.......Mark

one line goes to the front brakes and the other goes to the rear brakes.

I think that the line with the compression fittings goes to something else other than the master cylinder. Hopefully the OP can tell us where it goes.

Maybe like TJ suggested, it's just something not plumbed into the brakes at all. Maybe an oil filter or pressure gauge line taking the long way around?
