Question Tires, Tires, so many tires to choose from..

Was looking at tires tonight for my '49 F1. Anyone had good luck with a particular brand? Going to go with tubeless radial on stock rim. 6-16 or 6.5-16.. I think. Open to suggestions. Black wall or maybe red stripe. Definitely not wide whites. Truck will be used to just bump around. Not do 80 down the highway..

Recommend you use the site's "Search" function and you get a week's worth of reading.

Chris, I used Diamond Back Radials without tubes on my '51 F1 on original rims with excellent results and many hiway miles with no problems. I currently have a set on my '53 Victoria. I always get the WWW built from the modern Michelin tire. Good deep tread and a smooth ride.
Good luck, Don

Has anyone used the Toyo tire with the 3in. whitewall from Diamond Back? I am thinking about getting some for my 49 Ford.

I have replaced the DB radials on my 41 sw and 46 ford conv. Due to difficult steering.I replaced the with Coker 600:16 bias ww purchased from Summit racing who offers free shipping and the same price as Coker. The cars steer a lot easier and the ride and handling was acceptable.I have not regretted the change.BTW I have two sets of DB white wall radials available. I have them on my '53. A little hard riding, otherwise a very nice tire.
