Default 12 volt popout switch

When converting to 12 volt, neg ground, can the original popout ignition switch be used?

Or does one need to rewire the ignition with switched power through the coil to the distributor?

Thanks Fordbarn

Yes, you can keep the original switch and Henry's original way of wiring it all up (which deters hot wiring to steal the car).

But the original coil can't be used unless you add a ballast resistor and reverse the wires to the coil.

12v. items use less amperage than 6v., amps are what over-loads things.
