59-A fuel pump
hello when we took off our fuel pump to put a new one in there was firsts of all no spring fromt eh rocker arm of the pump and there was cork stuffed in the part of the fuel pump arm that goes over the rod of the motor. im wondering if anyone knows why this would have been done greg |

Re: 59-A fuel pump
Probably because the pump was failing, the rod was worn or the cam was worn. Generally people put a shim in when the pump started failing. |

Re: 59-A fuel pump
the spring could have fallen out if it wasn't installed correctly. an the cork was to take up any slop in the rod to cup. shoddy rebuild if you ask me. i can send you a spring if you want one. ken ct. |
