anyone know off the top, bottom or side of their head the disc size for a 58 CS with the 223/3 spd OD trans? I have seen 10.5 and 11 and would like to order a new clutch disc only once...

It looks like there are several that it could be. Here is the listing from my parts book, shows the selection (make sure to double check the years it applies to, I had some pencil marks on the page - disregard them):

Thanks Raceron. Interesting that that shows a 9.5 or 11, and probably the 9.5 since it ain't a taxi....

just drop your flywheel pan.an 11 inch pressure plate comes 1/4 in from the ring gear.i just went out and measured one.

Darrell...so if the math works right a 10.5 inch would be 1/2 in, 10 inch would be 3/4 in and etc...?

Most early flywheels will accept big & small clutch sets.

OK, here's the crux of the problem... The 223 I bought came out of a 64 F100 with a T18 behind it. When I remove the T-18, will the 58 3 speed w/overdrive bolt up to the 64 223 using the same flywheel/clutch/plate as installed on the truck? I'm pretty sure the 64 is an 11". Per the PO it only had less than 2,000 miles on it. Saves me a lot of time/money if the 3spd w/OD will bolt up as it goes back in the 58...
