Default Gauge set, are they still Made?

I do not have any interest in item that is being sold, I would like to have a set of these gauges for my car. Who and when were they made and does anyone still produce such a nice set of mounts and gauges, thanks Bruce

eBay item number:231217123308

Way over priced on eBay. Same thing on Snyders:

http://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/se...+gauge&x=0&y=0

A-11808 Bracket $59.95
A-6602 Oil Press $49.95
A-8272 Water Temp $49.95
Total for all 3 $159.85

That is a modern out of place looking set. The eBay unit is period correct.

I think I'm in the wrong business. It only took a half hour to make this panel.
You could put any style gauges in it.

Snyder's says: "A beautiful copy of the old APCO gauge bracket."

See installation instructions attached.

It's the same bracket as on eBay.

Pete,
Modern gauges look way out of place in an A. Working '20/'30's period guages are few, far between, and expensive.

No, it was a poor photo quality to start with.
The drop is made from 1/2 inch 75T6 aluminum.
The gauge panel is .093 75T6.

Very nice CarlG, is that the Snyders gauge holder? I wanted a oil and temp gauge to place in car before I travel to French Lick, IN meet. Started out only wanting a temp gauge but oil would be a plus, thanks for reply and info.

It's actually a double gauge holder I found in Bert's catalog, modified by shortening it 1-1/4" so that it fit just right behind the late '31 steering column brace. I opted for a temp and tach, but any 2-1/16" gauges would work there.

Thanks, if anyone has a good old temp gauge in garage and will part with it, I would be interested. I think I will install in heater hose with one of the wells that works like a metal tire valve stem. Has anyone used this type installation of temp bulb?????

If you want to install the temp gauge cleanly get one of the water inlets that is threaded to accept the temp sender. The piece that fits in between a standard hose looks terrible in my opinion.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! I think it cleans up things if you have a heater and a temp gauge.

CarlG and everyone else, found this dash a couple of minutes ago (storms going through area so on computer) it would only fit a 28/29, I need one for 30/31, but this is nice. New # to look at: eBay item number:131178575178 ( again just looking, no connection with seller!!!)
