1931 windshield still loose
Hi all - I have a 1931 roadster and despite tightening the nuts on the sides of the windshield, it keeps falling forward if we're not hanging on to it. The glass itself is fine - it's the entire assembly. I can't really drive with the top down because I'm afraid of the windshield falling over and breaking. Any ideas? The wing nuts are as tight as I can and as tight as I dare. Thanks in advance!

Re: 1931 windshield still loose
The cups in the upper stanchions, -or the bosses on the lower stanchions are excessively worn. Not necessarily an easy repair since the repro cups are not that good either, but if you work at it, you should be able to make the tapered areas have a better interference fit.
