Default 42 Convertible Window Runners

I am putting the door glass back in my '42 Convertible and am having problems. The door glass has a stainless steel frame. I installed the glass anti-rattle runners (the fuzzys) that I got from Vintique. Problem is that the 1/2" stainless frame gets locked up in the fuzzys and the window will not move.

Has anyone had experience with this situation?

For my 48, I got some from Restoration Specialties in PA. Was quite some time ago, but when I was looking for them they told me the sedan ones are different and don't work. Perhaps that is your problem

Thanks, Paul and Kube:

Still "no luck" on window channels. Checked with Resto Spec., only parts for '59 and up convertibles.

Any ideas? If I cut apart the Vintique, I still have nothing. Originals look NOTHING like I have been able to find.

Can you post a good photo or two of what you would like?
The Vintique kit no doubt included a generic piece for glass without the metal frame.
