Default Door Handles

Are these locking door handles original Model A for a 1930 Tudor.
The one with brass dumber and no key code, appears to be stainless steel.
The other I think is chrome plated and has a key code.

Thanks

The Model As that I’ve owned (no Tudors, alas) all did NOT have tumblers on the driver’s door, only on the passenger door. The story I’ve been told is that dear Henry did not believe that the driver should enter or exit from the traffic side, rather lock his door from the inside, slide across the seat to the passenger side, exit and then lock the door from the safety of the sidewalk. And reverse to enter the car.

If the Tudors are consistent then you likely have at least one non-original handle (the driver door).

The one with the brass tumbler looks like my 31 Tudor passenger door handle

Your handles are two passenger side locking handles used for 1930-31. If one is brass plated, it was originally nickle plated. Stainless followed about mid year. 1931 the same handle had a tumbler replaced that could be removed without taking the handle apart. Your picture shows the top handle is a 31 with the removable tumbler and the bottom handle would be early 30. These handles were used on all standard closed cars. Pickup, coupe, tudor, sport coupe.

By the way, most states municipalities during Model A days had a law that said if you parallel park, you must exit and enter your automobile through the passenger side door. Just look at old black and white movies from the 20's through the forties. You will see that law in action. Dale.
