41 ford dash dimmer switch
I have purchased a new old stock dimmer switch for the dash. Only problem is it has the mercury knob. Is it possible to replace the knob with a ford one. Cannot seem to unscrew the Mercury one

Re: 41 ford dash dimmer switch
I'm assuming your referring to the light control switch, the knobs are normally molded to the shaft that goes into the switch. If you want to change them you change the whole shaft and knob together. The shafts have a lock that releases them.

Re: 41 ford dash dimmer switch
Wiring diagrams refer to it as Instrument Lamp Rheostat Switch if that is on any help. Most of the Ford instrument knobs are removable, but not sure about this one!
