Default What to do?

On my 1926 ford I have a single pot brake master cylinder. I bought a new similar master cylinder. The major problem is the bore is set to high in the master cylinder. So my question is should I look for the direct replacement that was in my Frankenstein car? Or drill new mounting holes? The problem with new mounting holes is one of them is bolting to the firewall and not a solid steel plate? What say the universe?
Thanks
Jerry

It looks like a mid 50s Ford swing pedal master cylinder. It all depends on the bore size for kits. Most are built the same way in that era. Foreign units are different for the most part.

I have looked at rebuilding this master cylinder its around 400 dollars. closest I can get is a brake best mmc 11223. it has the same mounting ears. and its for a non power brake set like I have. Hopefully Reilly can get this one still.
Thanks
Jerry
