82A Body Mounting Block Dimensions
Hope these will help somebody. I made them for a friend on another forum and figured someone here might want them too. They are reverse engineered from a good used set of 1929 Closed cab P/U body mounting blocks. Cabs will require two of each of these. As noted on the prints some are identical from side to side and some are mirror images. If you would like a .jpg copy of these send me a PM with your email address.

Re: 82A Body Mounting Block Dimensions
Thanks for posting the drawings, nice job! I think the front blocks should apply to any 28-29 Model A with the same pillar/cowl.

Re: 82A Body Mounting Block Dimensions
Thanks Dan. The fronts should be the same on all '28- mid-'30 trucks (82-A cab), A and AA. I have no way of knowing about other models. Any knowledge on this subject would be greatly appreciated. Luke

Re: 82A Body Mounting Block Dimensions
The 28's with a left hand e-brake handle had a different " cut " on the front
piece of wood, under the fire wall/cowl. Then theirs the right hand drive models. Dan,...hows the weather? Dudley |

Re: 82A Body Mounting Block Dimensions
Hey Dudley, would a right hand drive have different front blocks than a left hand drive? I don't know anything about the right hand drives...
Yesterdays rain washed away the little snow we had left from the earlier cold storms, it seems a little like spring here today. Makes me want to dig out the Model A project and bloody my knuckles on some rusty part. |

I was thinking RHD with the V-early or early e-brake on the cowl....just thinking. The weather is good for now, but rain this weekend. Take care, Dudley *My 8-28 roadster has the hole for the left hand brake/with the wood cut away for the hand brake.* Last edited by d.j. moordigian; 03-03-2011 at 06:25 PM. |
