Preparing to remove & paint the grille. Just took a look and seems the radiator needs to come out to access removal hardware on grille?

There is no reason to remove the radiator in order to remove the grille. The radiator was installed prior to the front fenders and grille on the assembly line.

Looks like OP is actually trying to remove the grill for paint not the hood as the title states.
