35 & 36 waterfall dashes
Are 35 and 36 waterfall dashes different?
Are they interchangeable? Are the dashes themselves the same? Thanks Lindsay |

Re: 35 & 36 waterfall dashes
Depending on which models of those two years you are talking about....the bare dashes (for say the closed cars) would be the same but waterfalls would be different for '35 vs. '36. I have three standard model '35's that did not get a waterfall as they came off the assembly line (tudor sedan, fordor sedan and 5w coupe). I could put pictures up of '35 and '36 closed car waterfalls if you need to see the difference or you could look in the EFV8C/A 1935-36 Ford Book.

Re: 35 & 36 waterfall dashes
'35-'36 phaetons and roadsters have no 'waterfalls'; only cars with roll-up windows have them.

Re: 35 & 36 waterfall dashes
Lindsay, Here is a comparison of the 35 and 36 waterfall. It also shows the difference between closed car waterfalls and Cabriolet, Woodie & Conv. Sedan waterfalls.
Hope this helps |

Re: 35 & 36 waterfall dashes
Okay, thanks. Now I see the difference. Being that I have 36 5 window I will need one with the crank hole.
Thanks for the replies. Lindsay |

Re: 35 & 36 waterfall dashes
A question on this topic......I've seen the waterfalls painted between the ribs and chromed (or polished stainless?). How did they come from the factory?

Re: 35 & 36 waterfall dashes

Re: 35 & 36 waterfall dashes
No, just three... '35 -'36 and the open car variation..
Of course the painted portion varied depending on the variations in dash paint colors...

Re: 35 & 36 waterfall dashes
Aren't the cabriolet waterfalls a little deeper too, besides not having a crank hole?
