Model A stays in family 75 years
Hagerty has a nice story this month about a Model A roadster. Its not exactly an original car anymore, but its a great story

I can see restoring it as her dad had it but it looks like they made even more changes during the "restoration". No matter really, a fine story and the car should last another 80 years and at least 2 more generations. Glad to see all the pictures and hear the story.

Re: Model A stays in family 75 years
Good story. But it was the only Model A in the entire magazine. There were no others, not even in the ads. The previous issue had no Model A photo's at all. It made me wonder about the hobby.

Re: Model A stays in family 75 years
My 28 roadster pickup has also been a single family car. Was originally bought in Missoula, MT to my (now ex) wives great great grandpa. Her family joked about how it was the second truck in Missoula, because her great great grandpa ordered the first and had the first one sold out from under him by the dealer. I still have it post divorce, as i restored it (and she knew she couldnt take care of it) and have promised it to my son so it will still be in a relatives hand, and so i can teach him about it (he's only 5 right now). It was a farm truck and used as such and had alot of wear and tear. I restored it a couple years ago, back to as stock as i could get it, and it still has the original engine. It was my first restoration, but it came out great, and i did all the work. I had a friend help with paint (as he was a painter), but i did paint half of it with him teaching me. The engine was being used in another car, and was taken out and put back in the truck. I had heard it was the corrent block stamp, but verified it on the restoration.
I just love stories like that one. I think i actually remember that news story.

Re: Model A stays in family 75 years
Our distinguished former NH Representative Charlie Bass owns a station wagon that he used as a kid to pick apples (from the roof.) That one has been in his family a long time?
