55 Fairlane temperature sender - Which one?
Rewiring my 55 Club Sedan. What Temp sender do I need to match with original Cold - Hot Gauge? How many Ohms?

The original gauges don't work on ohms, they work by varying voltage to the gauge with bimetallic strips. The sender strip heats up and bends, altering the voltage it sends to the gauge. The bimetallic strip in the gauge bends due to the altered voltage and moves the pointer. Look up King-Seeley gauges. No other type of sender will work with the original gauge. This also applies to the oil pressure and gas gauges.
