1935 sedan horn mounting placement
I cannot find any details on how to mount the horns on my 1935 sedan. I have the brackets. Do I drill through the fenders ?

No. If you'll call me as requested above on your horn setup, I'll try and walk you through it. Lawson.

Re: 1935 sedan horn mounting placement
There's not much detail in the photo because there isn't much to their attachment. You did not specify if your sedan was a deluxe (a pair of horns) or a standard model (one horn on the left side). Assuming that you have the correct bracket(s) for the horns, those brackets only attach to the front fender/fender bracket one way that makes any sense at all. The attachment is with special bolts with hollow shanks that the wires pass through. You have to have those bolts to proceed (or you could drill out the same bolt with a solid shank). Nothing more to it than that. The front of the horn trumpets should end up perfectly vertical and perpendicular to the center line of the car. Anything less makes for a crappy appearance of the entire front end of the car.

I do have both the left and right brackets. I could drill out a carriage bolt for the horn wire feed. I been searching the internet for that perfect photo for detailed placement.

Jogyver. Horn bracket mounting holes can easily be located by using each fender bracket. The hole for the horn mounting bolt is pre stamped on each bracket as shown in photos below.

Thanks Don. That make life a bit more simple. I just checked the brackets. The previous owner welded up the mounting holes. No problem. I at least know where to drill and mount. Thanks a bunch.
