Gone to Germany!-they race them there!
I restored this hardtop 32 yrs ago, even found the last real race crew [69-72], couldn't sell it locally, so now it's on a ship. Spare tires chained on the car. The whole load is going to Europe, trucker hauls one load a week to the Oakland, CA docks. Newc

At least this car that most people would not consider restoring has a second life in racing. This is where the majority of these early Ford Coupes in the Fifties and Sixties ended up, at the Speedway. |

They won't do much racing without full floating hubs!

Re: Gone to Germany!-they race them there!
Maybe you couldn't sell it here because you advertised it as a '32 when it isn't?

Re: Gone to Germany!-they race them there!
I didn't see any of the original ads, but sure don't see anything in this thread that states it is a 32. It is easy to see that it is a 33 and don't think most people interested in a older dirt track car would be too hung up on the body year.

Re: Gone to Germany!-they race them there!
I think the op said he restored it 32 years ago not he restored a 32, years ago. But I could be wrong.

Re: Gone to Germany!-they race them there!
You say you "restored" it but that is using the word restored a bit out of context I would think. I would hate to see it before it was restored. Now you can have a go at me if you like. Regards, Kevin.

Looks restored to me, if you have ever been up close to original round De round cars.
