Default Weber Carburetor Help

I need help. I received a new Weber carb (manual choke) with intake manifold for Christmas 2015. Instructions received with the carb read that it was pre-adjusted for the Model A Ford. I started the car once a week since then and the car ran smooth and strong. Yesterday, I started it and it idles smooth; however, it will not run above an idle. The engine cuts off when I attempt to speed it up.

I adjusted the idle speed when I installed the carb back in December but have not adjusted any other screw on the carb. Yesterday, i cleaned and reset the points to .018, changed out the condenser and changed out the coil. I checked the gas flow to the carb and it flows without restriction. I took the filter off the carb and the gas drips/dribbles into the carb. Is the gas supposed to drip or atomize in the throat?

What else can I check? I do not want to start turning screws for fear of really getting the carb out of adjustment.

I appreciate all of your info and advice.

Sounds like you could have trash in the main jet and or pump jet. You will need to take the carb apart and clean. If you have the same gas in it since Dec. That can also stop up the jets. Pump gas now a days aint much.
