Default Gap Between Body and Splash Shield

Its me again!!! Sorry about all the questions but who ever had this roadster apart, must have been in a hurry to put it back together again. There is about a quarter to half inch gap between the lower edge of the body and the splash shield. It shows mostly between the middle of the cowl back to the front face of the rear fender. What should the spacing be? Thank you again.

That sounds about right to me. I can stick my hand between the body and splash apron up to my second knuckle on my car.

Richard, I just put a post on the Barn about the same subject yesterday. I received some good answers about this situation. You may enjoy the comments.
