Mystery Water Pump?
Hi folks,
I'm in the process of a frame-up restoration of a 1929 couple and I started on the water pump today. To my surprise, I found a housing I'm not familiar with that looks thinner and doesn't have the hole in the side of housing like a normal pump. Any insight on what this pump is, and whether it's worth rebuilding? Thanks in advance for your help. Pat |

I have one like that on my roadster too. I haven't had any issues with it for more than 20 years.

Re: Mystery Water Pump?
I've had one on my Coupe for 30 years. No problem. Have a couple that leak and would like to find someone who can rebuild them? Where can I find new seals? One definitely needs a new shaft,,,,,,,

Re: Mystery Water Pump?
Those were produced by a gentlemen in Kentucky back in the 70-80's. I can't recall his name anymore but they were excellent pumps. I may still have one around somewhere

Brent, you don't need a fan on your speedster?

Re: Mystery Water Pump?
Is that a spring loaded seal, inside the impeller?

Re: Mystery Water Pump?
You can get a new seal at a swiming pool pump repair shop, as I remember it is seal #1. Be sure to polish the seal area on the pump frame.
