Default Problem SOLVED ! ! ! !

On 04/09/2015 I started a Thread entitled "Pulling My Hair Out". On 05/23/2015 I started another Thread entitled "STILL Looking For Solution.
Both of these threads together had over 4,800 views with a little over 70 replies. The Problem was my generator was not aligned with the crank pulley and really not aligned to the water pump pulley. After taking the water pump off the motor I discovered that the front bearing of the pump was trashed. I also tried to tighten up the fan to move closer to the motor so hopefully the alignment would be better. Well, I became a little to aggressive and cracked the fan! This was a aluminum fan.

With my good friend Rich Bowes we worked on this problem numerous hours. The Problem was SOLVED by several things we found. We installed a rebuilt water pump which I bought from James Rupert. We installed that with a VEERRRRYYYYY thin gasket from a suggestion sent by H.L. Chavin. We also installed a new aluminum fan. Then generator was installed with a longer bolt and two bushings on each side of the mounting boss, between the mounting brackets of the generator. The front bushing is .163 and the rear is approx. 7/8". With these bushing installed, it moved the generator forward, which is what needed to be done to have alignment.

I want to THANK ALL OF YOU that responded to this problem, for your time and advice.

Just thought everyone would like to hear an update and exactly what SOLVED THE PROBLEM.

Forgot to say I STILL don't understand why I had to have bushings installed to mount the generator like we did. BUT it looks real good and I won't be doing anything else to it.
Thanks again!
