Default A Thank You to Don Turley!

I want to preface this post by saying that I have never met Don Turley and have just recently communicated with him via email and a phone call. Therefore, I have never had any kind of prior affiliation with Don.

Very recently Don did me a HUGE favor and helped me out in a big way. I don't want to get into the specifics, they aren't important, but what Don did was beyond what needed to be done. His actions weren't requested, Don just decided to do something very generous on his own.

Don, I hope you don't mind but I wanted to thank you for your generosity on this forum. In a day and age that is filled with negativity there are still people like Don that willingly help others out. Your act of kindness is noted and I will be paying the favor forward this week. Hopefully someday we may meet in person. If you don't know Don you should. He is a stand up guy and one of the best.

Again, Thank You Very Much Don!

I thanked Don in an email, but since Seth decided to thank Don in post, I will add my thanks to Don here. I was looking for some metal upholstery clips for my 29 phaeton doors and he offered and sent me about 40 original Ford clips. Most were usable. Don, I appreciate you helping me out like you did for Seth. I should also mention he offered and did what he offered to do about 5 years ago. I had a pair of special coupe quarterpanel window two piece trim pieces. These are a rare as hens teeth. I was worried about separating them as I felt I might damage them. I sent them to Don and he beadblasted and nicely separated them not asking for any money in return. Thanks again for that job you did for me.

Don has done well by me as well. In my opinion he is one of the 'good guys' around here. There are others as well.

I met Don several years ago. Visited him at his home and bought an owner's manual from him. Really great guy and an asset to the Model A hobby.

I have known Don Turley for a number of years and have worked with him as a fine-point judge. He is one of the nicest guys you will ever know and work with. I echo the praises of all the above Fordbarners!

Don is one of the quiet guys that go out of their way to help those in the hobby I mean going WAY out of his way.

Along with general things if you need help with tools, plating, any of the thousands of the little things that out cars correct, contact him. You will not be disappointed by receiving his help.

Don is a great guy who shares his knowledge and time freely. He has helped me many times and I am very thankful.

When some say 'Let's get the younger generation involved in our hobby', Don walked the walk. Actually he didn't walk but drove from Georgia to Minnesota (with a fresh engine) to help a young man (name withheld) finish a project that he had started with his dad years earlier. I know that young man's dad was looking down and smiling when his son drove that pickup to his prom this year.

I am not only proud to be a friend of Don's but I am also dam happy that there are folks on this site who openly recognize his good heart.

I have purchased several things from Don. If he sells it, it is the closest to brand new that you will ever get. (I have one of his brass instrument panels in my PU.) His no-nonsense warranty and free freight can't be beat.
