Default Welting on a 29 roadster pickup.

I have a 1929 roadster pickup.

Is beaded welting installed between the door posts and the front quarter panels in the same manner as between the gas tank and the cowl?
At present it does not appear to have beaded welting - only a thin tape like material without a bead.

The piece that goes over the tank continues all the way to the splash shields. No bead between the tank and front quarter but anti squeak yes.

Yes. Between the tank and the cowl panels are the funny "clamps" designed to pull it together on the inside. Electrical tape makes an acceptable substitute anti-squeek - and the adhesive makes it a whole lot easier to use.

One has to think of the "body assembly for convenience." The cowl, firewall lower were placed first, then the gas tank using seal tape only. THEN the doorpost/body put on over that using the bead type seal.
