Default Recognising Good Service - FS Ignitions & O'Neill Vintage Ford

Hi All

Just thought I'd stick a quick post on the board recognising some recent good service received by two vendors a few thousand miles apart. I have an FS Ignitions kit on my Coupe fitted by a previous owner. Very happy with the performance of the ignition setup, but the distributor conduit is missing. Contacted Mel at FS and he quoted me for the part, but the shipping was expensive to the UK for such a small item. Most vendors would have left it at that, Mel however copied Dave at O'Neill Vintage Ford here in the UK on the email, suggesting that the part could be added to Dave's next order to save on shipping. Dave then contacted me to ensure it was OK to go ahead with Mel's suggestion, and now the part is on order.

Excellent service and co-operation between two vendors to help me out

Regards

Kevin

After 14 years of service, it was time to service my Mallory / FSI distributor. Contacted FSI (Ponca City, OK) at WWW.FSIGNITIONS.COM to get phone number. They answered all my questions, and sent needed parts (small springs/clips) at no charge. I later had another question - sent by email - regarding oiling/lubing bottom of distributor housing (like in a stock A distributor) - Mel informed me that the Mallory distributor has graphite-impregnated bushings, and needs no further lubrication.
I have nothing but good things to say about FSI products and people !
