Now the doors open and close very nice. Never know what under the paint until you strip the paint from the whole car. Lots of poor work I found. It was a hurry up job.

Looks awfully good to me. A hurry up job here is 13 months in paint jail. Enjoy.

The day the T-Bird was painted I had lots of help. All the guys that help work at the Body Shop. They even furnish the Rollback to bring the Bird back to Rush shop to but it back together. First it has to be sanded and polish. Two more weeks before it back home.Lots of cleaning to put it the way it should be. We are not going to sell it. It will stay in the family. My granddaughter's would disown me. After I am gone there will be a war who gets the bird. There are 5 Grand Daughter's that have there eye on it?

It is the factory front crossmember. The frame was very well designed and strong on these cars unlike a lot of open cars you can jack front or rear end up and still operate doors that should prove how strong and reinforced they are. I actually just bought my first one a 1955 just three months ago and was looking for a '65 Mustang convertible like my first new car I bought in '65.Most were patched up underneath on the unibody "frame" and once I inspected the T Bird on a lift I was sold. Newest old car I have ever owned.

No that what it look like before we torn it down. It there look better then it really was. It will look much better then it all back together. I am wanting to see it when all done. Still got Disc Brakes to install and stop the transmission leaks. Radio not good. The hard stuff is done. Will show pictures when buff out. Maybe a split seat in the future. Stainless Exhaust with a bit deeper sounding Mufflers. This is going to be just a driver not a trailer Queen. This is where it at now

Its just going to be a driver. When I get it home there front Disc Brakes to install. Maybe this winter split bench seat power on driver side so when my wife drives which she has the seat as far forward so she can reach the peddles. Then I can have the passenger seat where I wanted it.That might be hard to find a seat to fit in the 56 T-Bird. I guess one is never done.
