Default Balancing Beads in Mod A tires

Does anyone know anything about the balancing beads and how to get them into the tube?

I have friends who have used them and can't "brag enough" on them. My understsanding is you remove the valve stem and simply pour them into the tube.

I just put them in my 16" tires but have not driven it enough to give you a good answer. Yes, remove the valve stem but you don't just pour them in. Pull up a chair and have patience, patience, and it might help to have some patience. They give you a little plastic hose to install them, but those cookie crumbling snaggle tooth chingalay swahealy moobagondies just have a hard time going down the chute.

They use them in motor homes and big trucks.

A little vibration on the valve stem hastens their movement.
They didn't work for me and it's possible my wheel could have been too far out of balance.
The problem then is removing them so that the wheel can be put on a balancing machine.
Much more tedious than putting the beads in!

They certainly can't do any harm. My good friend absolutely swears by them and yes they supply a filler tube. As stated above get in the shade with a cold beer and a large supply of patience ! Wayne

Just used them, and pleased with results.

Wife asked what she could do to help put the new tires on

The ones I uses in all my trucks that I transport with are called Counteract Balance Beads. Their website says they are not for use in passenger cars. You can take that for what it is worth. I love them! no shake in any of the trucks & I get about 100,000 miles per set of tires( approx 9 months) I can not say they extend the life for sure, but I do know the better the balance the longer the life.

I tried them and they work great. Tires used to start hoping like crazy at 45 to 50, now they are very smooth no bouncing.

Total pain in the arse to get in the tubes. I tried compressed air, drill, etc... nothing worked. Finally I used my oscillating (vibration) saw to vibrate the plastic tube that goes between the container and the valve stem. Worked great getting them in with that approach. Took around 5 min per tire.

They are a great invention and I strongly recommend installing them in the tires. However the new tubes I have seen have a very small hole in the tube stem making it nearly impossible to pour the beads in the tube. I finally dismounted the tire, removed the tube, punched a hole in the tube, poured the beads in then patched the hole. Another way would be to cut stem off, pour beads in the hole then install metal stems, then your wheels will look like Henry intended them to look. No more black rubber stem sticking through the rim.
