28-29 roadster door gap ?
I've looked at alot of 28-29 roadster pictures and have seen door gaps all over the place ,
I'm trying to fit my new Brookville door and not sure if the front is supposed to overlap the cowl piller ? Or butt up close (leaving a gap )without overlap Also is the cowl post hinge supposed to close completely to the door hinge when shut ? I have a 1/8 gap as seen in photo Last edited by rust revival; 05-11-2023 at 05:20 PM. |

Re: 28-29 roadster door gap ?
Door skin flush to the cowl at the hinge pillar. 1/8” give or take is good. Bigger issue is that gap be same top to bottom, give it take. Hinge has gap between pieces when closed. Door over laps body at hinge pillar.
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it! Louis Grizzard. But it has been awhile since I worked on a 28-29! |

So that needs to be figured out aswell , I have a dead strait frame ,new body blocks and rubber pads,. This very well might be the most frustrating part of the build this far. Last edited by rust revival; 07-01-2023 at 06:06 PM. |
