Appreciate that. That is settled. All you need now is a B6AZ 13341-A and modify the harness.

Let me make one more sweep.

CASCO show parts in their catalog - have you contacted them.,. If they don' have it, try Prestige. Another possible source is Adrian Lori ( 570-709-0823) - he has a lot of parts for early birds. Maybe not new, but good used. Ok to deal with.

Take another look. Your switch is rectangular with two straight slick sides. The passenger example shown has one curved side, with sculpted indents to locate and hold the left and right positions. On the thunderbird the position indents are built into the top of the steering column.

That's why I asked for a photo of the take-out.

Both the above are the B6AZ 13341-A.

Below are shots of the B6SZ 13341-A.

One is REPRO and the OEM is not that concise -

THANX! for the heads-up Dominic ...

Need a head-on photo of the take-off ...

I see the difference now (even one photo is inverted). Has to be a 56/57 BIRD ONLY SW.

Well, guess I don't have to go through the stuff for another ten years ...

I have an extra column and steering box from a '55 with 3 on the tree, so it's the same as the one in my '55. Is the turn signal switch different for an automatic transmission car? Don't see why it should be. I don't have one from an automatic car for comparison.

No, the TSS will be the same for both manual and automatic. The 55 BIRD TSS is unique though to the 55 BIRD.

I just pick up a NOS Turn Signal Switch. Right in my own town. He has 3 NOS and several used. His basement full of 56 and 57 NOS parts. He is 84 years old. He has two Automatic Transmission one air cooled and the other water cooled. He sold me the booksEarly Bird from 1960 up to 2020 cheap and other books. I got a honey hole I guess. Rear oil seal NOS. He has a 57 intake, carb and dist. for me down the road. Also the 57 Air Cleaner. I seen a Hard top there with Port Hole. Price ? Will let me know. He has the eyebrows NOS super nice. I might buy them later. I got 5 Boxes of Early Bird Books to read. Now he not cheap and knows what parts are worth.
