Show me your Patina!
I like a nice restored Model A as much as anyone, but it’s also nice seeing some with a bit of patina.
You know the ones, where the duster is equipped with sandpaper and they have signs that read, “Please Touch Me”. So, if you have any pics of Patina, please post them. Here’s a few to start off…………….. The top might leak a bit..... The white thingy on the floor is called a "Trip Extender", which I'm sure was a "Ford Authorized Accessory".

I'm sure the contents was dropped in the old radiators a few times in an emergence.

Gee, I hope not! Salt is not good for the radiator.

And heres a pic from when I was rebuilding the front suspension, kingpins etc. I mounted a single ford foglight...... I have the front bumper, but dont care for it, and the front gravel pan/splash shield. That may very well go back on though. The Ahooga horn works great, James |

Apparently, you are not the only one having trouble viewing the pics.
Can you see this one, with the Mother-In-Law seat attached to the front bumper? |

Re: Show me your Patina!
My wife no longer lets me show my patina on public forums! Once it's on the Internet it's there forever.

Re: Show me your Patina!
Two women in Mo. had this and a 25 roadster on their farm. They wouldn't sell just the coupe, so I had to buy them both. I love it!!
Stan p.s. The black you see is the original paint. Do you think I could take off the blue without ruining the original paint? Then I could put black wheels and tires on it. |

Re: Show me your Patina!
I was faced with the same dilemna. I was fortunate to acquire a low mileage original. Lived a very sheltered life, only problem is that someone had painted over the original Brewster Green with an incorrect yellow, overspraying the original rubber, interior, etc, etc.
The previous owner, suggested I take a razor blade in an attempt to chip off the yellow. After trying this for a bit, I realized that's it's not going to happen in my lifetime. So, I bit the bullet and took it apart and had it painted authentic color scheme. So, now I have a nice shiny paint job, with old original interior and replacement rubber and inferior repro body snaps for the side curtains. Wish, I could have saved it. |

Re: Show me your Patina!
My 30 Standard roadster with 32000 miles,a cut-down 68B cabriolet that belongs to a customer,a rock solid 29 coupe that I bought to save from a rodder that pulled it out of a barn, and a 37 Plymouth barn car I bought yesterday .My dad drives one like it and I bought it because it was solid.Where I am a car is considered solid if you can only fit one leg through the holes in the floorboards. The 29 coupe went back to a street rodder because they were offering over double what the A guys were.I also have a 31 Tudor painted sometime in the 50's that I drive, other than the paint is original but I don't seem to have a picture of that.

Re: Show me your Patina!
Not a great view of the truck, but here is my dad's '28 AA gas truck, all original except for the plywood top(? or did AA cabs have a wood top?). The gas station was dad's addition to the end of our car shed, complete with manequin dressed on over-alls and corn-cob pipe, sitting at the desk and cash-register. Freaks people out when they open the door and see him sitting there.

Re: Show me your Patina!
Here is the Cabriolet. Restored sometime between 1958-1960 and then put in a barn. Now we're driving it on tours and around town. I get a lot of people telling me they like seeing it unrestored, but the lovely wife would like to have a shiny nice car to ride around in. We'll see.
