Cool 1946-1948 ford mercury horn support bracket

I have a 48 Mercury convertible. I have the two trumpet horns but I need the bracket that the horns mount to. They mount ahead of the radiator and behind the grill. It looks like the bracket is horizontal and goes from one inner fender to the other. I'm guessing that Ford and Mercury would use the same bracket.

Thanks. Really appreciate any help.

I don't know about a Mercury, but the 48 Ford does not use trumpet horns. The 48 Ford horns mount behind the grill.

My 47 mercury does not have trumpet horns either. It has a shell type horn each side of the radiator behind the grill.

My '47 ford has trumpets mounted on the firewall. But I don't that they are stock horns or mounts. However, they are super loud.

My 48 came with a bunch of parts including both kinds of horns. The clam shell type did not have its mounting brackets. The trumpet style was complete but one of the guts in the bulb was stuffed so I robbed them out of one of the clam shells. I like the look of the trumpet type and I like the sound they make so I installed those instead.

Thanks everyone for your help. I will make a couple of brackets and hang them in front of the radiator and behind the grill. There is plenty of room and they do look good. Just got this car (48 Merc. convertible) and I'm really looking forward to driving it in the spring. All of you Ford Barn folks are a big help!

'42 thru mid '47 F&M used trumpet horns mounted to the left fender panel.
Mid '47 (give or take) thru '48 used seashell type horns.
