Had lunch at Rough River Lodge, Sunday afernoon, (Kentucky) with members of our Model A club.. George and Verna Titzer, (members) drove their Model A to Oshkosh from Evansville, In. they had some good pictures and stories to tell, enjoyed the airplanes with the Model A engines. Your pictures are great.......

Yes, Justin. Ross is a member of our Club in Canada and has served in many capacities of the Model A hobby.
Ross is also president of The 180-A Body Style Group. Wish we could have joined the group to New Zealand last year. Would have been a pleasure to meet you. |

Re: More MARC Oshkosh photos.............
Fortunately, we managed "not" to run into Everett's 29' Sports Roadster as we passed him on the Grand Tour..............
His vehicle sure got a lot of attention. First time I saw one in person.

HoarseWhisperer,
I have never seen the pharase "Sports Roadster". Can you tell me the difference between that and say a DeLuxe or Standard Roadster? Thanks for your time. Joe Grobleski |

From the Canadian Model A Ford Foundation: August 24, 1929 Ford of Canada announced the "Sport Roadster" as a new passenger model. Standard equipment included, "Folding Windshield" with Nickel-plated brass brackets, Dust Hood (cover over folded top), Spare Wheel and Tire carried forward in driver side front fender, Trunk Rack, Full Bar Bumper on rear in place of Bumperettes, Wind Wings and Rumble Seat. Special Colors included "Mount Vernon Green, Nankeen Brown and Henna Red". Mouldings and rear deck were finished in black, with double striping of Cameo Cream. Everett Hessell's is a fine example. Glad you're enjoying the photos and thanks for the comments. Next, vacation slides. No one leave the room. |

Re: More MARC Oshkosh photos.............
Justin, I know that Everett Hessel's score was posted in one of the threads, but I'm not sure which one.
BTW, although I am now a bonified "Canuck", I grew up in Wisconsin, so attending the Oshkosh meet was sort of a homecoming for me. Being a former "Cheeshead", I even know what a "bubbler" is.
