Battery drain down finally solved I think
I have been trying to find out for several weeks now why my battery has been draining down over night. My son was over today and we were checking some things out and I said I have never checked the electric wiper and sure enough when I put my hand on it and it was warm, just Like Tom W. said to do to test some things. Some where along the way the wiper got turned on but did not move the blade so I was not aware that it was in the on position. I will check tomorrow morning to see what the battery has done overnight. The ammeter showed a very slight discharge at times and I thought it was the junk Chinese ammeter not working just right. Hope this solves it. Will let you know.

You may want to put in a switch to turn off all things when you park you rig. This would keep things like this from happening again.

Checked the battery this morning and it was right at where it was late yesterday, so my problem has been solved. One dumb mistake sure can make for problems. thanks to all.

If there was a cut off switch then the wiper problem might not ever had been found. What is better, driving around with band aid fixes or repairing the problem? These extra improvements tend to mask problems. Properly rebuilt there should be no need for the improvements in most cases. |
