My friends 57 T-Bird's odometer decreases mileage when driving forward and increases mileage when backing up. WHAT IS THE DEAL CAN YOU HELP? THANKS!

Is there anything non original on the car? How long has it been like this and what was the last thing that was done before the problem started?

Very simple solution... The vehicle was made for the southern hemisphere, i.e. Australia, New Zealand, south America etc. The earths gravitation pull down under is the opposite of the northern hemisphere.. The vehicle needs to be exported...

The last guy to take it apart and roll the mileage back must have reassembled it incorrectly.
