Engine bolts
Why did the 2 timing cover castings, the water outlet casting on the left side of the block, use bolts with slightly domed heads?
How many options were there in 1930 for different engine bolt finishes? I have seen some cars with the flywheel housing to bellhousing using a similar domed bolt. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Were many engine blocks painted blue and of what year? What shade of blue would it be?

Re: Engine bolts
All Model A motors were painted green, with the exception being some from Canada which were grey.

Re: Engine bolts
I have heard of some Canadian motors painted either a grey blue or it might have been just grey as you say. Maybe the guy was colour blind. I have never seen the remains of original grey paint.
