Default Carb Rebuild Kit

I recently purchased a "rebuilt" Zenith B carb. It has never run right and I have removed it and am about to rebuild it with a kit (Synders or Berts I can't recall which) .Comparing the jets in the carb with the jets in the kit there is a considerable difference . Specifically all the jets in the carb have the appropriate numbers on them but the orifices appear signifigantly larger than those of the jets in the kit. I assume that the jets in the carb are original but the orifices may have been enlarged by the rebuilder . I will install the kit and test drive. -I'm aware that in the past there have been issues with repro jet quality -Is this still an ongoing issue ?

Default Re: Carb Rebuild Kit

I rebuilt my carb with a Snyders Kit 3 month ago. Sadly no numbers on the new jets.
As i cant measure jets ( im used to mm-m-km) i had to trust in them.
It took a while to install them correct (relative to the venturi - old jets were on
different hight).
All worked out great.
The carb (a 1930 version on a 1929 Tudor) works from my point of view as it should.
Have fun Christoph

Dont forget to clean the passages with a paper-clip.

Maybe you have found the reason for that carb not working right??
