Default More on using foil to set bearing clearances

Measure the foil you are using for setting bearing clearances. The standard Reynolds in our kitchen measures .005". I used two layers under teh bearing cap to set bearing clearances.

Did you mean .0005? Two layers of .005,or .010,is quite a lot of clearance.
