1933 Ford glovebox Radio
Did this radio come with a wood like front to match the delux dash wood grain? I have only found it in black?

Re: 1933 Ford glovebox Radio
Make sure you buy an original ford glovebox radio front facia panel and NOT A REPRODUCTION. Repros don't fit very well. The round hole with the rolled edge is not quite large enough to fit over the chrome dial bezel on the radio and they have rough right angle mounting brackets spot welded on the back. Original facia panels have nice rounded swaged in brackets on the back and are fairly hard to find and expensive as well but they fit perfect. I have seen several with various woodgrain finishes and also maroon or black ones. Buy what you can find and have it matched to your dash. Beware of buying a repro described as an original by some vendors, been there done that. Regards, Kevin.
