Re: new glass? '40 ford coupe
I've used the Glass House (909-592-1078) for several projects requiring original sized glass. The fit was excellent. I'm not a restorer so I request tempered glass in everything but the windshield. Their website is www.theglasshouse1.com Hope this helps.

Re: new glass? '40 ford coupe
Use your local auto glass man to cut the glass without any logos', then get the Bug decals from Roy Nacewicz and do that part yourself. I have used Sanders in the past and they broke in shipment. Black edge bled horribly. Pocket book bled even more.

Re: new glass? '40 ford coupe
I would stay away from glass marketed by Vintique, Inc. I bought some for my 39 tudor and it wasn't even close. When I called they said their glass was right and the glass in my car was wrong. Strange. It was the original glass in the car and seemed to fit fine. They claim their glass is patterned on a CNC. I'm guessing that means Cut with No Concern. Round corners were squared off, there was 1/2" differences in the orginal glass when laid on top for comparison, their sales reps were rude and condescending, the delivery date was not as promised when I paid for it at the Moultrie swap meet..........all in all it was a bad experience. My body shop guy got so mad he broke most of it in a fit of rage. Don't worry. He paid to have it replaced at the local glass shop where they cut it right.

Try Chris Blattie, Montana Glass in Billings. Good guy, good product, ships in a bullet-proof box. 406-690-6467. Sells with good feedback on the HAMB.

Re: new glass? '40 ford coupe
Used Chris Blattie with great results. You could have drove a tank accross the box and had a handle for carrying the box. Discount forAlliance members. It's worth a call, LOL Gordon
