There is something that no one has touched on yet. Where I live and in most parts of the U.S. gasoline contains up to 10% ethanol. There are a few places where you can buy pure gasoline but not many. Just make sure your car can handle the alcohol gaskets, seals and float.

I will try to pick up as many people as possible to give them the experience of driving such a vintage car. But maybe nobody wants to drive with me because the majority of Americans are obsessed with security, airbags, anti blocking brakes etc :-). Enjoy America but please be wary about picking up folks along the way, I wanted to do the reverse send my car to Europe to tour and sell it there. Maybe next year. The best of Luck
