I love the Ford Barn and though I don't comment often I have learned a lot here. But I don't have time to read every thread. And if it is about something I'm not interested in, I don't look at it. Why get yourself all stressed out?

I am a purist...A495 should be done this summer. Everything even down to the nuts and bolts is as close to authentic as possible.

I am not a purist...the '29 Coupe that I am working on will have a Mitchell Overdrive in it and directionals on it.

This is a great site to keep Model A's running and on the road. That is what Fordbarn means to me. I am fine with folks talking about overdrives, juice brakes, dual tail lights, etc. I am fine with folks discussing the dimensions of the early style head nuts.

My only request is that folks do a good (better) job of identifying the topic for their thread in the title. Therefore, if some folks want to talk about converting cowl lights into directionals, or how to tell the differences between the various styles of engine pan bolts I can decide when I see the title if I want to spend time opening and reading it.

Ryan B. welcome to this site.

Dean brought up a good point.
Being specific in the title bar also makes the topic easier to find when using the "SEARCH" feature.

The owner has once again stated his vision for his site and he will ultimately decide if a thread closes or disappears, period.

If you want it to end, then why 1) do you keep posting on it
2) keep reading it
3) not go the other 20 or more post on the 1st page alone?

Maybe let this issue drop - and then in a week or so someone will bring it up again.

And we can reference this thread.

Or even resurrect it!

A ZOMBIE thread. You can't kill it.

It will live FOREVER

BWAHAHAHAHA!

Sorry. I lose myself sometimes in intellectual flights of fancy.

We are "GUESTS" here??? HMMM! I feel Ryan needs us posters, like if we ALL disappeared, the old weathered Barn would "fall down" & become "VINTAGE" decorator wood. Bill W. (Buster T. offers NO comments!)

I don't think any forum on any subject can survive if only purists post. There just aren't enough of them. Just look at the different threads on any page of this forum and see how many of them are "pure" and how many aren't.
I need all kinds of posts. I want to have a Model A that runs 50 miles without having to fix for 5 hours after the run. Kind of impossible to have that in an 80 year old used car. I don't have the money to restore a Model A but if you don't do that completely then you just have an old used car that needs work. Or updating. Or modifying. Because purely restoring one costs too much for me.
So which site should I go to? And don't send me to a foul-mouthed one.

I agree wholeheartedly, Cool Hand!
Foul mouth crap usually means a very LIMITED vocabulary and can't spell words with more than 4 letters! Bill W.

This is going NOWHERE, and even I have been caught up in it! Some are getting almost childish with allegations of who's PURE??? & who's UN-PURE,??? as if some are "better" than others. Some act as if they're Peanut Butter on a Stick, then others get DEFENSIVE. A total waste of time. Some are SO INSECURE, that in itself is almost HUMOROUS!
I'm disappearing for a week & MAYBE then, MAYBE, I'll peek in & see if the children have settled down. I'll use the time wasted here to get Vermin going & have FUN, FUN, FUN driving, while swiveling around in my NON STOCK bar stool seats! (WHEEEEEE!)
Chief always said, "We are all CHILDREN in OLD skins"! RIGHT ON, CHIEF! (He's probably LAUGHIN!) Bill W. (Buster T. has NO comments, he just SMILES???)

I love to see authentic restorations and I am doing that except for a few things that help me enjoy driving the car more. I will find another site if I am not welcome here.
Nothing more pure than juice brakes. They have been doing it since they came out in 1939. If this is a "Uber Pure" forum, maybe I missed it. Now if it were disc or a 350 swap I would understand.

I enjoy this Forum, but I guess if I disclosed that my 34 has a 48 flathead, or my 25T has a VW distributor I would be sent to cyber jail.

You are welcome here
